Art painting is hard to express in another way than … the painting ! Photos can’t render materials and textures of the works as well as we would them. The size of the painting is very important too. Unhappilly, it can only be suggested by a photo. Even colors, whatever is the talent of the photographer and because it depends on the light, are never accurates.
On a computer screen, situation is worst. Each of them shows colors as it wants, according to the specification of its electronics components and to specialists-only tunings. The simulation on the right size on this page shows it quiet well.
By the end, we have decided to show Loris’s paintings at the same format, the taller we can afford according to our technicals choices (800 x 600 pixels screen). This choice can be discussed – we could have prefer to show all the paintings at the same scale. But we prioritize work by work’s visual comfort, forgetting the idea to respect the whole coherence.
Saying this, everything confirm that, whatever is the painting, nothing can be better than the physical presence to admire – or to hate - it. With full knowledge of the facts.
